Adorable Frisco, Colorado offers a charming Main Street and a community with a huge variety of entertainment, mountain vibe, and shopping. Just off I-70, Frisco is an 80 minute easy drive from Denver and sits on the West side of the Dillon Reservoir. The closest ski resort is Copper Mountain, but it is central to the county and not a far drive from Breckenridge and Keystone and Arapahoe Basin just over Swan Mountain Road.
There are two main sections of Frisco – the Main Street area and the I-70 hub. The I-70 hub offers great shopping and dining choices including Whole Foods Market, Rio Grande Mexican Restaurant and the new Outer Range Brewing Company. Fast food choices and Wal-Mart are layered in amongst the local retailers, outfitters, remodeling companies, and resale shops. Main Street Frisco is truly a walkers delight – with deli’s, bars, patio dining, great shopping, and live music to entertain you.
The Island Grill during the summer is right at the Frisco Bay Marina and is the place to be and be seen. Live music and tropical drinks make this perch overlooking the marina a great place to hang out. The Marina itself rents canoes, speed boats, kayaks, stand-up paddleboards, and sailboats so you can go explore the lake at your leisure. If you want someone else to do the driving, jump on the water taxi, a pontoon boat that welcomes passengers along with their bikes and dogs.
Want something more aggressive? How about hiking Peak 1, rock climbing, mountain biking, road biking, or the Frisco Adventure Park’s Frisbee golf course, bike or skate parks? In winter, the Frisco Adventure Park offers beginner skiing, tubing, cross-country/nordic skiing, horse drawn sleigh rides, and even Tumble Bubbles in the winter.
Events, events – Frisco does a fantastic job at great events year-round! From the Frisco BBQ Challenge in June through Wassail Days in December, Frisco knows how to throw a party. Fireworks, bonfires, ski races, free live music in the park, dog-friendly activities and chili cook-offs… you name it, Frisco does it.
And Frisco is an absolutely great place to live! With over 50 shops and restaurants, minutes to Copper Mountain and Keystone, the real estate market offers entry level condo’s to multi-million dollar luxury mountain retreats. Yup, you’ll love it here!
